Entering the middle and late industrialization in China, socio-economic development model based on "Made in China" is facing a turning point. In other words, China is gradually shifting from the socio-economic model of surviving for "subsistence" to "development" of consumption-led social and economic model.
"Made in China" not only promote China's economic development, but also to promote social transformation. On the one hand, it made Chinese economy to reach a certain size and level. China already became the first one to hold the world's foreign exchange reserves as the world's third largest economies. On the other hand, the "Made in China" as an important foundation for economic growth thus make great contribution to poverty. To take Rmb1196 of rural poverty estimates as standard, there are 4007 rural poor people in the end of 2009, but 4759 million rural residents to receive minimum life guarantee. From this sense, the problem of "subsistence" in China has been basically solved.
Meanwhile, hundreds of millions migrant workers rushed into the city to become the employees in many industries of manufacturing, construction, trade, service industries, etc., which in itself is a structural change of Chinese society. Also, the shift of social composition transition mechanism, adjustment of interests, change of concept ... all these series of changes are intertwined to constitute the social status of China.
