President Xi Jinping and other top leaders visited the Museum of the War of Chinese People’s Resistance Against Japanese Aggression to watch a new exhibition -- “Great Victory, Historical Contributions” -- on July 7, which marked the 78th anniversary of the beginning of the war against Japanese aggression.
“Remembering history is to open up to the future ... forgetting history is a betrayal,” Xi, also general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, said during the visit.
The other members of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee — Li Keqiang, Zhang Dejiang, Yu Zhengsheng, Liu Yunshan, Wang Qishan and Zhang Gaoli — were also present.
